Is there a setting for the lower jogging speed? Some of my other machines will use either a percentage of full jog speed ( OK ), or use the current feed rate for the lower speeds ( Best ). When using a machine with no handwheels its nice to be able to use the low speed jog for on the fly cuts.

Also, for future screen ideas, the low speed jog and inc. jog buttons are way too small and close to the high speed jog buttons, its too easy to hit the high speed by mistake and crash. The g-code window could be reduced to a dozen lines to free up some screen area, this would allow larger buttons for us touch screen guys. It would be nice if the g code arrow stayed at the center or top third of the g-code window instead of running to the bottom, I would prefer to see whats coming up instead of what's already happened.

I have modified the screens for my own needs, but will I loose these modifications when KCNC goes to 4.26?

I'm finally getting some saddle time on my VMC conversion, and the controls are working great. This is the first windows based controller I have ever used that I can trust enough to walk away from the machine while its running.

Keep up the good work!!!

Todd

Thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd,

The lower jogging speed in KMotionCNC is currently fixed at 50% of the Jogging speed.

Those are good ideas.  Yes I think you would have to re-apply the changes for each new version.  If you can export and send me the resource file I can try to add that into the next version as a standard screen face.

TK

I'll refine the touch screens a little and send them to you, maybe you can give me a few pointers on small screen design stuff once I get the touch screens to you.

Thanks!

BTW I'm not sure how this exactly relates but my understanding is MS Windows 8 is supposed to have much better touch screen capability.
